Instalar agentes de Fujitsu Server View en ESX

Proceso step-by-step para instalar los agentes de la aplicacion de gestion de servidores de Fujitsu "Server View" en sistemas operativos RedHat y por defecto tambien en ESX.
Lo que parece muy razonable es tener que deshabilitar el firewall para permitir que esta aplicacion nos reporte info sobre el hardware en el que se instale el ESX...¿no? El motivo es por el bloqueo de los traps de SNMP que necesita el agente, si el firewall los bloquea toca deshabilitarlo o crear una regla/excepcion que permita las iptables el paso de este trafico.

Instalar VMware Tools en Solaris

1 On the host, select VM > Install VMware Tools.


2 On the guest, log in as root.

3 If necessary, mount the VMware Tools virtual CD-ROM image.

Usually, the Solaris volume manager vold mounts the CD-ROM under /cdrom/vmwaretools. If the CD-ROM is not mounted, restart the volume manager using the following commands:
  /etc/init.d/volmgt stop
  /etc/init.d/volmgt start

4 Change to a working directory (for example, /tmp):
   cd /tmp

5 Extract VMware Tools:
    gunzip -c /cdrom/vmwaretools/vmware-solaris-tools.tar.gz
    tar xf -

6 Run the VMware Tools installer:
    cd vmware-tools-distrib
     ./vmware-install.pl
Respond to the configuration prompts. Press Enter to accept the default value.
