VMware ESX is End of Life, in the future only VMware ESXi will exist

Por si alguien tenia alguna duda, y como ya informamos hace tiempo en la web, os dejo este video "oficial" de VMware donde se confirma que se discontinuara ESX en favor de ESXi

Que tener en cuenta al virtualizar un dominio con Active Directory

Bajo el curiosos titulo "Cosas a tener en cuenta cuando se alojan los controladores de dominio de Active Directory en entornos de alojamiento virtuales", Microsoft nos deja el articulo KB888794 con varios puntos que no debemos descuidar.

VMware Converter 4.1 no funciona con Windows 2000/NT

Para poder convertir maquinas fisicas con Windows 2000/NT Server ya no funciona lanzar un "import" desde vSphere 4.1 ya que intenta cargar el agente de esa misma version y no soporta S.O. inferiores a XP(el error que nos reporta sera similar al 1154).
Para ello debemos lanzar el P2V desde la version Converter 3; bien desde otra maquina o bien instalandolo directamente sobre la maquina que deseamos convertir, para gustos colores...
